Alex HB Designs is the trading name of Alex Hadwen-Bennett, a fine art botanical photographer.
What data does Alex HB Designs collect about me?
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you leave a comment on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. Customers that order from our online store will provide personal information such as: first and last name, email address, address.

What does Alex HB Designs do with my data and why?
Email addresses of customers and newsletter subscribers are used to send out newsletters, order updates and marketing communications. Names and addresses of customers are used to process and dispatch orders. Cookies are collected for your convenience when you leave a comment so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.
Who does Alex HB Designs share my data with?
Names and addresses of customers will be shared with shipping services in order to dispatch their orders. Payment information, such as credit or debit card details is processed by a third part payment processor and is not retained by us. The names and email addresses of customers and newsletter subscribers will be securely shared with a mailing list management service in order to distribute newsletters and marketing communications.
How long does Alex HB Designs keep my data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Cookies created during a visit to our site will last for one year.
For customers users that register for the newsletter, we store their first name and e-mail address. These are retained until you choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Each edition of the newsletter contains a link which enables you to unsubscribe from the newsletter.
The first and last names, email addresses, addresses and order details relating to customers will be retained indefinitely. This is to enable the analysis of sales trends.
How can I access, update, or delete the collected data?
If you have left comments on this site, subscribed to the newsletter or ordered from us, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Requests to access, update or delete your data can be made by completing the contact form.
