Wild Impressions

Over 97% of wildflower rich grasslands have been lost in England since the 1930s and this has had a serious impact on the wildlife which depends on them. There are a number of projects which aim to significantly increase the planting of wildflowers across the country. One such project is B-Lines a project founded by Buglife to create a network of insect highways across the country.

In this series I employ intentional camera movement to capture the feeling of hope evoked by areas of wildflowers in and nearby urban areas. I hope that this series will raise awareness of the threats to pollinating insects and the enable people to reflect on their own relationship with the natural world.
